Account & Billing
Manage your account, subscription, and billing
Upgrading is simple:
- Go to Settings > Account > Subscription
- Tap Upgrade
- Select your desired plan (Standard, Premium, or Enterprise)
- Choose billing cycle (Monthly or Annual - save 20% with annual)
- Enter payment information
You'll only be charged for the remaining period of your current billing cycle. Upgrade takes effect immediately.
Yes, you can cancel anytime with no cancellation fees:
- Navigate to Settings > Account > Subscription
- Tap Cancel Subscription
- Select a reason (optional but helps us improve)
- Confirm cancellation
You'll retain full access until the end of your current billing period. Your data is preserved for 90 days in case you want to reactivate.
To update your account credentials:
Change Email:
- Go to Settings > Account > Email
- Enter your new email address
- Verify with your current password
- Confirm via verification email
Change Password:
- Go to Settings > Account > Security
- Enter current password
- Enter new password (min. 8 characters)
- Confirm new password
We accept all major payment methods:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your full card details on our servers.
Our refund policy:
- Within 14 days: Full refund, no questions asked
- After 14 days: Prorated refund for annual subscriptions
- Monthly subscriptions: No refund, but retain access until period ends

Yes! Team member limits vary by plan:
- Free: 1 user
- Standard: Up to 5 users ($5/month per additional user)
- Premium: Up to 25 users ($8/month per additional user)

Add team members in Settings > Team > Invite Members. Each member gets their own login credentials.
To update payment details:
- Go to Settings > Account > Billing
- Click Update Payment Method
- Enter new card information
- Save changes
Your new payment method will be used for the next billing cycle. We'll send a confirmation email when the change is complete.
Technical Support
Troubleshooting and technical assistance
GPS issues are usually permission-related. Follow these steps:
On iOS:
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
- Find Farm Dog in the app list
- Select While Using the App
- Enable Precise Location
On Android:
- Open Settings > Apps > Farm Dog
- Tap Permissions > Location
- Select Allow only while using the app
- Enable Use precise location
If issues persist, ensure you're outdoors with clear view of the sky.
Try these troubleshooting steps in order:
- Check internet connection: Verify WiFi or cellular data is active
- Force sync: Pull down on the home screen to manually trigger sync
- Restart app: Completely close and relaunch Farm Dog
- Check app version: Update to latest version in App Store/Play Store
- Re-login: Log out and log back in
- Clear cache: Settings > Advanced > Clear Cache

App crashes are usually caused by:

If crashes persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Your data is stored in the cloud and won't be lost.

Reset links expire after 1 hour for security. If expired, request a new reset link.
Free up space by removing cached data:

- Review storage breakdown by category
- Delete options:
- Offline Maps: Remove cached map tiles
- Photos: Delete synced photos from device
- Old Reports: Archive reports older than X days
- Tap Clear Selected

You own 100% of your data. Farm Dog's data ownership policy:
- All field data, scout reports, and photos belong to you
- We never sell, share, or monetize your agricultural data
- You can export all data anytime in standard formats
- If you close your account, we delete your data after 90 days

Farm Dog never sells your agricultural data. Limited data sharing occurs only for:
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS), payment processing (Stripe)
- Your integrations: Only data you explicitly authorize to share
- Legal requirements: If required by law enforcement with valid warrant
All third parties sign strict confidentiality agreements and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
Data retention periods:
- Active accounts: Indefinitely, as long as your account is active
- Canceled subscriptions: 90 days after cancellation (then permanently deleted)
- Closed accounts: 90 days grace period for reactivation
- Backups: 30-day backup retention cycle
You can export your data before account closure. After the retention period, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.

- Uninstalling only removes the app from your device
- All field data, reports, and photos remain in your account
- Simply reinstall and log in to access everything
- Only cached offline data is removed from device
To permanently delete data, you must explicitly request account deletion from Settings > Account > Delete Account.
